11-Color Golf Putting Mat: From “Impossible” to an Optimal Solution

Challenge

The customer wishes to customize a golf putting pad with 11 different color block combinations, completely breaking away from the conventional single or two-color grass silk design. However, the first order quantity is extremely small, which cannot be achieved by traditional craftsmanship – this is the first novel design in the industry, and there is no ready-made solution to refer to.
Our solution

Faced with the “impossible”, we did not directly refuse, but organized our technical team to have in-depth discussions and ultimately proposed three achievable paths:
Option 1: Splicing of turf blocks
Cut and manually assemble grass of different colors. The design effect can be achieved, but the seams are obvious, the durability is poor, and the labor cost is extremely high.
Option 2: Conventional pad silk screen printing pattern
Screen print colored patterns on the surface of the standard push rod pad. The cost is relatively low, but the pattern adhesion is limited, and long-term use is prone to wear and fading.
Option 3: Integrated molding mechanism (recommended)
11 color blocks are directly woven through the integrated molding process. The most recommended approach among the three options is to achieve the best visual effect, seamless design, strong durability, and significantly reduce overall costs.

Achievement

The customer adopted the third solution and achieved the industry’s first multi color block push rod pad at a reasonable cost, which received positive feedback from the market after its launch.
