20-Hole Putting Practice Mat: From Al Concept to Mass Production

Challenge

Most of the popular push rod practice mats on the market have a 12 hole design, and foreign design patents have been applied for, which has deterred many brands. Customer Jacky came to us with an AI generated concept map, hoping to create a 20 hole push rod practice mat – not only with more holes, but also with a comprehensive upgrade in appearance and functionality, completely avoiding existing patent barriers.
This is a dual challenge: to overcome patent restrictions while also breaking through technological limitations.
Our solution

In the face of challenges, our technical team did not retreat, but tackled them one by one from the three dimensions of structure, appearance, and functionality:
1、 Breaking down patent barriers
The technical team conducted in-depth research on the existing patent layout, redesigned the pad layout and hole arrangement, and achieved a new structure of 20 holes without infringing on the existing patents. At the same time, adding auxiliary aiming lines and difficulty grading areas makes the product not only “more holes”, but also “more professionally trained”.
2、 Breaking through technological limitations
20 holes mean more complex pattern layout and higher weaving accuracy requirements. Conventional processes are difficult to balance durability while ensuring clarity. We have achieved mass production standards of clear patterns, uniform grass fibers, and durability by adjusting weaving parameters and material ratios.
3、 From AI graphics to mass-produced products
The customer provided a conceptual diagram generated by AI, lacking engineering parameters. We transformed it into a producible engineering drawing, and after multiple rounds of sampling and testing, we truly turned AI’s ideas into products on the shelves.

Achievement

The product has been successfully mass-produced and launched, combining 20 hole professional training functions with a unique appearance design, successfully avoiding patent risks and opening up new market space for customers.
